ASSISTANT TAX MANAGER / TAX MANAGER (M/F/D)

JOB DESCRIPTION

You will:

• Lead and be part of our tax team involved in all kind of advisory and compliance works for income tax purposes
• manage the works for the tax team and provide guidance for advisory and compliance works, if necessary
• support the team in the preparation of personal income tax returns and perform the review of such compliance and advisory work
• prepare tax memos and international tax issues of all kind
• handle and follow-up of requests of the tax authorities, review tax assessments and file appeals, if necessary
• provide tax advisory services to clients in client meetings
• correspond and liaise with the client, external advisors and tax authorities
• Advise your clients to social security issues and declarations and tax returns;
• Assist your clients concerning actions to be taken in payroll and/or HR-Admin queries
• assist junior team members in their professional development by providing technical training and feedback
• takeover administrative tasks (e.g. liaise with back office/ management and tax team regarding internal processes)
• Support of the team dealing with payroll services

YOUR PROFILE

• experience of at least 4-6 years in Luxembourg, preferably in an international working environment
• university degree in finance, economics or law with a focus on taxes
• knowledge of Luxembourg income tax law
• knowledge in payroll services is considered as an advantage
• fluent in English (or French) and German (with at least a basic knowledge of the other language)
• attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• organized and solution-oriented working approach
• highly motivated and eager to learn
• proactive and able to work independently as well as in a team
• good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Luxembourg Cycle A/B (or comparable) taxation diploma is considered as an advantage
• having the professional grade of “Expert-Comptable” in Luxembourg (or similar abroad) is considered as an advantage
